I’ve been waiting for new music from D’Angelo for what seems like an eternity. It has been 11 years since he last performed / released his album, VooDoo. So, when I saw that he had not only recently performed in Sweden, but he debuted three new songs, my heart leaped with joy. The tracks are called: “Sugar Daddy”, “Another Life” and “The Charade”, all slated to appear on D’Angelo‘s forthcoming album. Continue reading “Video: D’Angelo Performs New Music In Sweden” »
When in industry, the attention of Karl Lagerfeld is something really dope to have, especially since Karl is one of the most prolific fashion designers of right now. A few days ago, he reached out to Azealia to celebrate the release of his line with Net-a-Porte, called ‘Karl’. He invited Azealia to perform her hit “212″ for a select audience at his house, and even went on to gift her with a customized Chanel sweater with his face on it (picture below).

It’s official, Iggy Azalea has signed to Interscope. For those of us who were watching the ever-so-confident Def Jam VPs tweet and interact with Iggy via twitter, one would think she would have signed to Def Jam; especially keeping in mind she was dining with the Def Jam family in Los Angeles all last week, but we were mistaken. All is far in music business and bidding wars. Interscope (w/ Jimmy Iovine) is her new home. Not to mention her debut album, The New Classic, will be out later this year.
PUSH! Montana and Maino teamed up to record the visual to their song “Last Of The Mohicans”, from Maino‘s I Am Who I Am. The video is dope and and definitely one of the best songs off the project…. Not to mention, PUSH! killed his verse.
FTD caught up with Kendrick Lamar while he was down in Texas to talk about his experience with ScoreMore, “P&P”, Section 80, and more… Not a lot of people would have the gull or the ability to say that they have created the most relatable project for their generation, but Kendrick can, and did.
My good friends over at Muve Music caught up with J. Cole and are giving us the third installment of his track by track commentary for his album Cole World: The Sideline Story. He also goes on to talk about him addressing his relationship with Jay-Z, and how he prefer Jigga not shout him out, so that he knows his success is his own. He also goes on to talk about No I.D. laying down some life lessons and industry lessons on him. Dope!

Here’s the official remix to Tyga‘s “Rack City” featuring Meek Mill, Fabolous, Wale, Young Jeezy and T.I.
I know I throw shade at Tyga from time to time with regards to his young demographic, but I’ve got to admit, this song goes hard, and the remix was well executed, now all that is left is a killer visual.
