As Valentine’s Day draws near, love melodies and ballads are starting to surface for a feel-good time. Adding to the love, here’s a single from Robert Glaper‘s forthcoming album, Black Radio. The project is slated to release on February 28th, and if the remainder is anything like this Musiq Soulchild x Chrisette Michele-assisted track (“Ah Yeah”), we’re definitely in for a treat.

Here’s a new Nicki Minaj track that just hit the net… The song is called “Marilyn Monroe” and I’m pretty sure it will remain an unreleased demo, but either way, I definitely needed to hear something better from Onika than “Stupid Hoe”. This version is obtrusively tagged, but once the untagged hits the e-streets, I’ll update.

If Amber Rose‘s first single “Fame” wasn’t enough for you, she’s back with another round. This track is called “Loaded” and it looks as though she’s taken a page straight from the book of Ke$ha.

Personally, I find this song revolting. It was way worse than the first one, and truth be told, I didn’t even know that was possible.

I think my heart stopped when I heard that there was an unreleased freestyle from the late, but great, J. Dilla. Thanks to Bling47, “Clap Your Hands” has found its way to the internet.

I got this one on a cassette from T3 circa 1997. I’m not sure what it was for, or why Dilla had this on tape, but I thought it was hilarious. “Shut the Fuck Up and listen to this… this.” This kind of style was typical for our crew at this time – we were just finishing up the Fantastic Vol 1 album. It was never about what they said – but instead how they said it. We called it “R.A.W.” – Rugged And wild. And that is exactly what this one is – tape hiss and all.

Mannnn… I will be listening to Dilla. Rest in peace, James Dewitt Yancey.

I’ve been sitting on pins and needles waiting for Miguel to release the first track from his forthcoming project, and here it is. The song is called “Adorn”, and it is off of his forthcoming project, Art Dealer Chic Vol. 1. Check out the video after the break.

I always said I wouldn’t post another Lil Kim story unless she got her act all the way together or fell all the way off. This is definitely a culprit of the latter… Kim currently owes the IRS over a million dollars in taxes.

According to TMZ, Lil Kim‘s tax problems are well-documented and go back nearly 10 years. According to documents filed with the L.A. Recorder’s Office, Kim owes money every year from 2002-2009. The 2009 amount, $86347.85, was just recently tacked on — bringing her total $1,026,862.42.

Dear IRS, good luck collecting that money. A vast majority of Kim‘s transactions are cash, and I don’t really see her being in a hurry to rectify a tax lien. I would say wait until Kim makes her ‘come back’, but I’m relatively certain that ship has sailed. We’ll just have to wait and see how the maddness pans out…

It’s not secret A$AP Rocky has a love for Black Scale, so I wasn’t too surprised when I found that they had given him his own signature collection.

Alfred (of BS): Rocky has been a fan of Black Scale since before we actually met. It just so happened that I was working the sales floor the day he decided to come in and purchase items for his video shoot for “Purple Swag”. He had a great energy and was a genuinely nice guy. The video dropped and the relationship continued to grow organically. The response was so overwhelming that it made sense to do a collabo. The design influences were taken from what the A$AP crew liked about Black Scale. I tried to integrate all the aesthetics that drew the crew to the brand, always keeping in mind that they should look good in it when they wear it. via Complex

Melanie Amaro, the winner of the $5 million dollar recording contract with Epic Records via X Factor, is out with her first single, “Respect”; a remix of Aretha Franklin‘s 1965 classic. This track is supposed to serve as Melanie‘s debut single, and will air during Pepsi‘s Super Bowl commercial. I like Melanie, truly I do, but a remix of an Aretha track is literally the worst move ever. Epic should have enlisted the aid of some killer writers like Ester Dean or Bei Maejor, and allowed them to craft her an original, not a some bootleg karaoke techno pop crap.

Now Rihanna changes her hair about 5 times a month, and normally I could care less, but when you’re hot, you’re hot. From the set of Elle Magazine, Riri tweeted her new look. I like it. I just weep for the millions of girls who will ruin their hair follicles trying to replicate…

At least once a season the Air Jordan brand will release a shoe that will cause folks to line-up for days and spend their rent money; this shoe is no exception. 2 months into the new year and Air Jordan IV White Cement shoes are slated to be released on February 18th. I personally prefer the cement 3′s over 4′s, but they both are definitely among the top 10 Air Jordans ever made.

On Thursday night, the legendary Nas performed with The Roots crew to perform his track “Nasty”. I wouldn’t mind a Roots x Nas album. As a matter of fact, I’d welcome/anticipate it.
